MODA Extending over two floors and designed
by architect Roberto Baciocchi, Miu Miu
continues to expand its reign over fashion by
arriving to Miami & The Design District with a
summer collection hotter than the Florida sun.

Miuccia Prada must have had a youthful 1950s-era
Sophia Loren or perhaps a Claudia Cardinale in mind as
the muse to her Spring/Summer collection. The designs
include tailored knee-length skirts that are cinched at
the waist by thick body-favoring belts. The shoes are
gigantic platforms and ultra-feminine mules embellished
by bows — they look like they’re right out of a Busby
Berkeley musical. For the designer’s resort collection, the
skirts run ultra mini — as if reawakening Steven Meisel’s
collaboration with Madonna in the early ‘90s for their
take on the mod ‘60s. Summer is here and Miu Miu’s
moda is taking over; 190 NE 39th St.; MiuMiu.com.
