under the water’s surface.

Entrepreneur, environmentalist & artist, Jose Debasa doesn’t
let such trifling categories limit him. Passionate about the
world’s waterways and the strange life that inhabits them,
his photographs crystallize the wonders the cerulean areas of
our cityscape offer. “The ocean has so much to offer,” he says.
“People think I’m crazy to shoot pictures of sharks or go 60 feet
underwater — but I think they’re crazy for living right next to
the ocean and never experiencing it!” Always interested in the
raw edge of nature, Debasa’s photographic adventures began at
the age of 16, when he started to wander into The Everglades
in search of alligators and other wetland fauna. Turning this
adolescent pastime into a burgeoning enterprise, Debasa shoots
some of the ocean’s deadliest creatures and breathtaking vistas
for both business and pleasure. Available for fashion shoots,
business branding and even family portraiture, Debasa’s keen eye
can enliven any occasion; JoseDebasaPhotography.com.
