Jaguar’s E-Type was the car that epitomized the roadster class, with its sweeping hood and snarling
exhaust. Now it’s back, better than ever, as the F-Class.

When we think of a Jaguar, we most likely envision a stately and sleek sedan. But before there were sedans, there were sportscars —
low-slung, swoopy cars that looked and sounded like a WWII Spitfire howling at full-throttle across the English Channel. Those days are
back in the form of the F-Type. In either convertible or coupe form, the F-Type was created to provide a viable alternative to Porsche
911s, the BMW 4 Series and Audi A6s. The exteriors accomplish that, with a huge air intake and sensual lines. The interiors are quite
nice, too, with a nice blend of aromatic leather and aircraft-worthy gauges. The E-Type offered a 12-cylinder engine or a straight 6; the
F-Type offers a supercharged 3 Liter 360 hp V6 (rearwheel drive only) or an AWD 5 Liter, 550 hp supercharged V8 linked to an 8-speed
automatic transmission. Purists can get a 6-speed manual transmission, but only with the V6 RWD model; Jaguar.com.
