S uccess real estate SKY HIGH Downtown Miami has a new architectural icon to call its own. Construction of Brickell Flatiron, CMC Group’s new Luis Revuelta-designed development in the city’s Brickell Financial District, is complete. WORDS BY SANDY LINDSEY AERIAL PHOTO BY GOLDEN DUSK PHOTOGR APHY RENDERINGS COURTESY OF CMC GROUP As residents take ownership of their units, begin interior buildouts and prepare to move in, it’s time to take a moment to reflect on what Brickell Flatiron means to our city. The development has attracted a diverse mix of residents, including a significant percentage of domestic buyers. While the tower has enjoyed steady sales activity among buyers from Mexico, Argentina, Italy, Venezuela and Colombia, approximately 70% of the building’s buyers came from U.S. markets, evidence that Americans are increasingly drawn to Downtown Miami’s urban lifestyle, which comes at a fraction of the price of luxury living in other gateway cities. The tower’s design is the brainchild of architect Luis Revuelta, who is behind many of CMC Group’s iconic high-rises across Miami, including Bristol Tower, Santa Maria and the EPIC. CMC Group founder and Brickell Flatiron’s developer Ugo Colombo enlisted master Italian designer Massimo Iosa Ghini to create one-of-a-kind spaces throughout the building that are adorned with premium materials ranging from Milldue cabinets and hand- cut Italian marble floors, to custom kitchens by Snaidero and professional-grade Miele appliances; 34
