Car manufacturers are run by soulless bean counters that routinely discontinue slow-moving
models. Usually no one notices or cares, as the car being whacked couldn’t get stolen unlocked
while running in Tijuana. However, once in a while an epic model gets cut.

A recent article on 15 cars being discontinued after 2018 held no surprises, until the last entry...or rather, exit. The vehicles were
coma-inducing models such as the Mitsubishi i-MiEV. The exception? The V10-powered, legally insane Dodge Viper. The Viper has more
horsepower than a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier and you may well wet yourself if you ever press down fully on the gas. It’s a really
good idea to prepare a will before driving one. Regardless, the Viper is iconic. Our increasingly polite, taco-burps-kill-polar-bears world
may never see another V10 powered street legal car, and that’s sad. So should you buy one as an investment while you still can? If we
were investment advisers, we’d say “Are you nuts? That’s stupid!” But we are NOT, so we recommend you get two — one to drive like you
rented it and one to tuck away in your living room, pristine and untouched, a 4-wheeled 401k of sorts; Dodge.com.
